A recent report indicates that Hyderabad has surpassed 46,000 property registrations in 2024.

As of August 9, 2024, Hyderabad has recorded impressive growth in its real estate market, with home registrations totaling ₹4,266 crore in July 2024. This represents a remarkable 48% increase year-on-year (YoY), while the number of registered units reached 7,124, marking a 28% YoY rise, according to Knight Frank India’s latest report. Cumulatively, since January 2024, the city has registered 46,368 units, reflecting a 17% increase compared to the same period last year. Furthermore, the state’s revenue from stamp duty from January to June 2024 was ₹28,578 crore, which is a 40% YoY growth.

In July 2024, properties priced under ₹50 lakh accounted for the largest share of registrations in Hyderabad, although their proportion dropped from 69% in July 2023 to 61% this year. Conversely, the share of registrations for properties valued at ₹1 crore and above increased to 13%, up from 9% in the previous year, indicating a shift in buyer preferences towards higher-value homes. Notably, registrations for properties priced over ₹1 crore surged by 94% YoY in July 2024.

In July 2024, the majority of registered properties in Hyderabad were within the 1,000 to 2,000 square foot range, accounting for 69% of all registrations. The demand for smaller homes (below 1,000 sqft) decreased, dropping from 21% in July 2023 to 17%. In contrast, larger properties (over 2,000 sqft) saw an increase in registrations, rising from 11% to 14% during the same period.
